Description
The Oak honey is a honey rich in antioxidant properties, containing large amounts of potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, and iron.
It is a dark-colored thick honey with a strong, distinct, pleasant caramel-like flavor.
Oak honey is known for its antibacterial and antiseptic properties. It is invigorating and excellent for addressing sleep issues.
Its high iron content makes it ideal for preventing and treating anemia.
According to a study by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2015, in comparison to honeys from around the world regarding their antioxidant activity, Oak honey was found to be the strongest honey, followed by fir, thyme, chestnut, and pine honeys. Lower values were observed in Hanuka honey, thyme honey, heather honey, and cotton honey.
